On 21 November The Green House Action Team visited their house charity: The Arches Project. The Arches Project is a practical resource and support centre for those in need across the city of Nottingham. It aims to provide an environment of compassion and care, where people feel that they belong and are accepted; where they can build a sense of self-worth and confidence.
After a short tour of all the services the project delivers the students got stuck in to serving some of the needs; measuring out curtains that had been donated, sorting and restocking the shelves with duvets and blankets, putting together family start up packs of crockery and cutlery and supporting the volunteers in the crèche. “We had so much fun and it was great to serve those in need” remarked Satnam on returning from the visit. If you too would like to do more to support those in need in our city through The Arches Project please don’t hesitate to contact me.
