Rucksack Project and FIFA Tournament

Rucksack Project and FIFA Tournament

December 18th 2017

As part of their National Citizen Service (NCS) project, three Year 12 students, Hamza, Haris and Shazaib, held a fundraising event to raise money for the ‘Rucksack Project’, which helps homeless people by giving them a rucksack full of basic essentials.

Haris said, “NCS interested me because I wanted a challenge that would develop my social skills, improve my teamwork and help me be more independent. We chose the rucksack appeal as it is a small local charity that we believe is doing great work. The FIFA 18 event came about as we knew a lot of sixth formers play FIFA at home and compete against each other online”. The tournament, which was held over two days, was a great success, raising £30 for the project and saw Tyese crowned the FIFA18 champion!
