On Monday 15 October, students from The Nottingham Emmanuel Sixth Form proudly presented a cheque for £3492.00 to the Nottingham Hospitals Charity. This fantastic sum of money was raised at various sixth form fundraising activities and will go directly to Ward E39, the Children’s Cancer Unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre, to help pay for life saving equipment.
This year the students in Sixth Form will be fundraising for the Premature Babies Unit at the QMC. Their target is to once again raise over £3000.00 to help pay for fibre optic lighting used in the unit to keep premature babies warm and provide visual stimulation, which are both vital to the babies’ good health, growth and development.
