Year 10 Curriculum – Week commencing 11 May 2020
Over the week, Year 10 students should aim to spend approximately 5 hours on English, Maths and Science, and approximately 2 hours on all other subjects. We have created the example timetable below to allow for this, however students do not have to follow the timings exactly – they should adapt the timetable to best suit them.

Setting work: Teachers will set work once a week on Go4Schools and also directly to students by email. Students should either complete that task on the relevant online platform, or email their teachers the work for feedback.
Please direct initial questions related to subject work to the class teacher who will support by email.
Supporting students: Students can use the below email addresses to communicate with staff and receive ‘live support’ whilst studying, the timetable for this is shared weekly.

Rewards: Students will be rewarded between 1 and 3 engagement points per subject per week to reward their effort and hard work. These will be added to Go 4 Schools and will help each house to edge closer to winning the house cup!
Reading for Pleasure/Additional Reading: Download our Reading at Home Guide for lots of helpful tips and support on reading at home and accessing the books that you are interested in and perhaps finding some new ones that you hadn’t discovered before!
Year 10 students may also want to use the Year 11 Non-Fiction Reading Guide to extend their learning or to follow up topics of interest in more detail.
Enrichment:
We have provided a range of suggested enrichment activities for Year 10, to help them balance their time beyond completing school work.
