Setting work: Teachers will set work once a week on Go4Schools and also directly to students by email.

Rewards: Students will be rewarded between 1 and 3 engagement points per subject per week to reward their effort and hard work.  These will be added to Go 4 Schools and will help each house to edge closer to winning the house cup!

Reading for Pleasure: Download our Reading at Home Guide for lots of helpful tips and support on reading at home and accessing the books that you are interested in and perhaps finding some new ones that you hadn’t discovered before!

NES Reads: Click here to listen to different teachers at Emmanuel read the fantastic book ‘Refugee Boy’ by Benjamin Zephaniah.  Listen out for the surprise in the last chapter.

Additional work:

If students are finding that they would like more work, then there are some really good things to do:

  1. Complete the extension activities in detail for the subject work that teachers are setting.
  2. Use self-testing techniques with the Summer 1 Knowledge Organisers for Years 7 and 8 to consolidate key learning and key knowledge for each subject area.  Click here.
  3. Go to BBC Bitesize for lots of fantastic videos and quizzes linked to learning for each year group
  4. Go to Oak National Academy for lots of free video lessons and resources to link to learning for each year group and/or extend learning in topics of interest.

Please direct any questions related to subject work to the class teacher who will support by email.

Please direct any general questions related to the curriculum or closure to:
