Sixth Form Open Evening – Thursday 1 October 2020, 7pm

Staff and students at The Nottingham Emmanuel School are looking forward to welcoming a record number of new Year 7 students in September 2020.  The last few years have seen a significant increase in demand for places with the total number of applications and first choice applications rising considerably, resulting in full year groups and waiting lists in operation across every year group.  Emmanuel joined Archway Learning Trust in 2018 and now works closely with Bluecoat Aspley, Wollaton and Beechdale academies to offer an exceptional learning environment for its students.  We celebrated record GCSE results in summer 2019 and invite families to come along to our Open Evening, taking place at 6.30pm Thursday 17 September, and don’t forget to explore the virtual tour and videos on these tabs for prospective parents to find out more about life at Emmanuel.

Similarly, our Sixth Form has also experienced an increased demand for places, with a record number of students expected to join us in September 2020.  Year 11 students from Emmanuel as well as other local schools are increasingly attracted to Emmanuel’s Sixth Form by the strong pastoral support on offer alongside the option of a wide range of courses, with over 30 A Levels and Level 2 and Level 3 vocational courses available.  In 2019, Sixth Form student progress was rated as “significantly positive” and Emmanuel’s Sixth Form was ranked amongst the top-performing Sixth Form centres in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.  Our Sixth Form has also been awarded the SSAT Educational Outcomes Award for exceptional student progress in academic subjects. We received this award in recognition of achieving significantly higher than national average student progress in end of KS5 exams.
