A Level Results Day 2024

The Nottingham Emmanuel School, part of Archway Learning Trust, is celebrating exceptional success as many of our students achieved fantastic grades to help them progress to some of the most prestigious Universities and Degree Apprenticeships across the country. Nearly 40% of grades were A*- B or equivalent across A Level and Applied Generals and a number of students achieved a full suite of A* and A grades.

Jack Ward, who has studied at the school since Year 7, achieved A*A*A*A*A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and EPQ far exceeding the grades required to study Chemical Engineering at The University of Sheffield.

Jack said: “I had a great time at Sixth Form, the teachers really pushed me to achieve and supported me from the beginning they deserve a lot of credit.”

Hadiqa Banford who has been a student at the school since Year 7 and has overcome significant challenges and worked exceptionally hard to achieve A*A*A in Psychology, English Language and Biology enabling her to progress on to study Psychology at The University of Nottingham.

Hadiqa said: “I had an amazing time at sixth form and I think the hard work really paid off. I’m also really grateful for all of my teachers because they’re the reason I did so well.”

Ben Sharpe joined The Nottingham Emmanuel School for Sixth Form and achieved A*A*A in Psychology, Maths and Business Studies. Ben integrated into the Sixth Form remarkably well and has excelled during his time at The Nottingham Emmanuel Sixth Form. These grades have enabled him to progress on to study Economics at The University of Nottingham.

Ben said: “I came in as a new student to Emmanuel from another school and I had an incredible time. The Sixth Form allowed me to flourish and I would not have been able to reach as high as I did without the support of my teachers.”

Daniel Dark, Assistant Principal responsible for KS5, stated that Jack, Hadiqa and Ben’s success, along with all the other individual successes we are celebrating, makes all the hard work thoroughly worth it. “We are exceptionally proud of all our students’ achievements, but especially Jack, Hadiqa and Ben who have achieved the very best grades in challenging circumstances. The dedication and resilience they have shown is a credit to their character and I am confident that they will continue to be successful in the future. These individual successes remind us all that no matter the students’ background or starting point, we can help them achieve their full potential at The Nottingham Emmanuel School Sixth Form.”
