Jon was recently awarded a British Empire Medal for services to music education and remains a passionate advocate of music education within all schools.
As an alumnus of Huddersfield University, Leeds College of Music, Anglia Ruskin and Derby University, Jon began his career as a professional musician working with groups such as the Union Gap Band and the Platters. His career has seen him travel extensively as a performer, composer and conductor.
In 2020 he received a Parliamentary Award for music education for the work he does with Hot House Music www.hhmusic.co.uk a social enterprise that exists to positively improve the lives of young people through the transformative power of music.
