GCSE Results Day

Sandra Stapleton – Principal

The NES community is delighted to celebrate the achievement of our Year 11 students.  Throughout the pandemic this year group has overcome adversity and huge obstacles to achieve the results they pick up today.  Staff and students have shown resilience and perseverance and have remained focussed even when they have had to work remotely.  The whole NES community (including students, parents, teachers and support staff) have worked together to remove barriers to learning and provide excellent teaching alongside outstanding pastoral care.  We hope that the grades students receive today will have a positive impact on their life chances and enable them to continue their studies or take up apprenticeships.

Oli Marsh – Head of Year

“I am immensely proud of every member of this Year Group. After an extraordinary couple of years, this Year group was certainly impacted the greatest in terms of time out of school due to the global pandemic. They have shown such commitment and dedication to their learning and as a result are seeing the rewards for that today. I wish each and every one of these students the very best of luck for the future and look forward to seeing the majority in our Sixth Form. They are a real credit to us as a school, to their Families and to themselves.”

Josh’s family is moving to London so he doesn’t currently have a place due to the move.

He joined NES towards the end of Year 9 and has made huge progress in the time he has been at our school.  Josh has juggled his studies with writing his own music and raps.  He even was one of our judges on Emmanuel’s Got Talent.  Josh was massively impacted by the Covid Lockdowns which impacted 2 of the 3 years he has attended NES.  However, he has always remained positive and eager to learn.  It has been a pleasure having Josh in Year 11 and we hope he is delighted with his results.
