On Thursday 18 January, a ‘Register and be a Lifesaver volunteer’ delivered a session to sixth formers to raise awareness and highlight the importance of blood, organ and bone marrow donation.
Daniel in Year 12 said ‘I found today’s session really helpful because it gave me a greater understanding of blood and organ donation. It has made me want to register so that I can contribute to saving someone’s life.’
Briadhad (Year 13) said ‘I’m already on the organ donor register myself, and I’m so happy that people are raising awareness and providing information on how others can get involved. Someone on the register gave me and my family an extra ten years with my Dad so hopefully I can repay someone else.’
